Robert D. Palmer III
University of Denver Sturm College of Law

Rob Palmer is a third year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (DU). He previously served on the University’s ILS chapter board as a Vice-President and is a staff editor of the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. Rob is also a member of DU’s Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team and is captain of DU's Navy JAG Moot Court Team. In addition, he serves as a research assistant for an International Law Professor at DU, working on various projects dealing with Islamic Law, Human Rights and Corporations, and the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights to name a few. Rob has already earned a certificate in Global Arbitration Law and Practice and is working on a certificate in International Law. Before entering law school, Rob attended and graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in history.

After his first year at DU, he interned at a law firm in London, England where he was assigned to a team defending a charity organization in a $70 million lawsuit. While in London, Rob also had the privilege of meeting one of his heroes, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and attended a meeting with him sponsored by the Advocates for International Development (A4ID) to discuss the U.N. Millennium Development Goals. Rob is excited at the possibilty to meet fellow ILSA members across the world during his term as the ILSA Student President.
