Prof. Michael Peil Michael Peil is the Associate Dean for International Programs at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, he promotes international student and faculty mobility. He also serves as U.S. Executive Director of the Transnational Law Program, a joint-degree and faculty mobility consortium among Washington University and four European universities. He teaches Law of the European Union and Public International Law at WU Law. From 2001 to 2006, Peil was ILSA Executive Director. During his time at ILSA, the organization moved from Washington, DC, to its present home in Chicago. Peil graduated from Wake Forest University (B.A. History and Russian) and from Cornell Law School (J.D.). After law school, he was a post-doctoral associate at Cornell’s Legal Information Institute (LII) and then practiced corporate law in Chicago. |
