The International Law Students Association sponsors an annual fall conference in cooperation with law school chapters and other educational and professional organizations. The conference consists of academic panel discussions related to a timely issue of international law and information about international legal opportunities. A meeting of ILSA chapter members occurs at the conference. This meeting is called the Fall Congress. At the Fall Congress, ILSA members, student officers, and individual members meet and discuss the policies and goals of the organization. All chapter members and individual members are encouraged to attend both the Fall Conference and the Fall Congress. The conference is a tremendous occasion for students to network with international law practitioners, academics, and other law students from around the world. ILSA chapters can petition to host the ILSA Fall Conference. Every winter, ILSA accepts bids from chapters wishing to host the conference the following fall. ILSA reviews each bid, and chooses the chapter that has best demonstrated that it will host a successful, engaging conference. The ILSA Executive Office then aids the chapter with conference planning by providing the chapter with money, resources and logistical support.
