Spring Conference Writing Competition

A writing competition will be held as part of the conference activities. ILSA Chapter members wishing to participate in the competition are asked to submit an original work that explores how international law has evolved over the years from governing relations among states to obligating and protecting individuals in accord with international norms.

Each participant in the Writing Competition will be required to submit a 12-15 page paper with footnotes. Content, grammar, style, and citation will all be taken into account during the review process. The authors of the top three papers will be notified in late February and will be asked to deliver a presentation based on their paper at the ILSA Spring Conference. The author of the top paper will be offered the opportunity to print the article in the ILSA Quarterly.

Completed papers, along with a cover letter, must be emailed to ILSA Student President Molly McNab at president@ilsa.org by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, February 15, 2010. For more details and competition rules, please view this flyer.
