This special dinner event will commemorate the golden anniversary of
the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the leading international law advocacy contest in the world.

The Jessup 50th Anniversary Celebration will be held Friday, March 27, 2009
at the Ronald Regan Building and International Trade Center, located at
1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW in Washington, D.C, United States of America.
The Celebration will begin at 6:30pm with a welcome reception, followed
by an elegant dinner in the Center’s star-lit atrium.
Transportation will be provided to the Celebration from the Fairmont Hotel,
where the ASIL Annual Meeting and
Shearman & Sterling International Rounds of the Jessup Competition will be taking place.
Judge Rosalyn Higgins, the outgoing President of the International Court of Justice
and Judge Stephen M. Schwebel, Former President of the International
Court of Justice and author of the inaugural Jessup Competition Problem,
will be featured guest speakers.
We hope that you will be able to join President Higgins, Judge Schwebel,
and other leaders in the international legal community to honor a Competition
that has truly made a positive impact on our global community.
