The Shearman & Sterling International Rounds of the Jessup Competition are the culminating event of the Jessup Season. Held each spring in Washington D.C. and sponsored by the premier global law firm of Shearman & Sterling, the International Rounds are both an educational experience and cultural extravaganza. The weeklong schedule of events is filled with competitive matches, interesting panel discussions, and festive social events.

The 2009 Shearman & Sterling International Rounds will commemorate a very special occasion -- the 50th Anniversary of the Jessup Competition. Please mark your calendars now and join us for the special celebration. The Shearman & Sterling International Rounds will be held March 22-28, 2009, at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington D.C. in the United States.

Hotel Reservations

All reservations for the Fairmont Hotel (competition venue) must be made through the ILSA Executive Office. All reservations require a credit card to hold the room and as a security deposit for incidental room charges. We will not reserve a room until we receive all the required reservation details and payment information. To inquire about making reservations, please contact Caroline Cowen, the Jessup Outreach Coordinator, at ccowen@ilsa.org.

The information required to make a reservation includes:

• Arrival Date
• Departure Date
• Number and type of rooms needed
• Names of guests in each room
• Credit Card Information (Card Number, Card Expiration Date, Card Owner's Name, Card Owner’s Billing Address)

The deadline for submitting hotel reservations to the ILSA Executive Office for the Fairmont is Monday, February 23, 2008.
