![]() The Jessup Competition is judged by an elite corps of volunteer attorneys. Judges are needed at all levels of the Competition (regional, national, and international) to evaluate and score the written and oral pleadings of the competitors. Each jurisdiction of the Competition has different requirements and procedures for registering to become a judge. In most jurisdictions, study or practice in the field of international law, or prior experience in the Jessup Competition, is preferred, but not required. Please join the Freiends of the Jessup listserv to receive information about 2011 judging opportunities throughout the world (the listserv receives, on average, just four announcements per year). White & Case International RoundsThe White & Case International Rounds of the Jessup Competition will take place March 20-26, 2011 at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. If you would like to serve as a memorial or oral rounds judge at the White & Case International Rounds, we ask that you complete and submit an International Rounds Volunteer Judge Application Form, which will be posted sometime in December 2010. National Rounds and U.S. Super RegionalsBetween January and early March, Jessup National Rounds will be held at locations all around the world. Similarly, U.S. Super Regionals will be held in New York City, New York; Washington, D.C.; Chicago, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Miami, Florida; and Portland, Oregon. Each of these competitions are in need of volunteer judges. If you are interested in judging at the Regional or National level, please email ilsa@ilsa.org. Materials for Judges
