The International Law Students Association is a non-profit association of students and lawyers who are dedicated to the promotion of international law. ILSA provides students with opportunity to study, research, and network in the international legal arena. The organization's activities include academic conferences, publications, the global coordination of student organizations, and the administration of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
ILSA works to provide students with the opportunity to attend international law conferences. We believe that conferences are a valuable addition to a traditional academic eduations. ILSA regularly partners with other organizations to provide ILSA students with access to conferences at little to no cost. Our flagship conference, International Law Weekend, takes place annually in New York and is free to all students.
For years, ILSA has also helped students organize and finance international law conferences in cooperation with universities and other educational and professional organizations through our ILSA Chapter Program Grants. Conferences consist of academic panel discussions related to timely issues of international law and information about international legal opportunities for students. Conferences are a tremendous occasion for students to network with international law practitioners, academics and other law students from around the world.
