Heather Colby is a 3L at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and lives in Boulder, Colorado. She was of counsel for DU’s Jessup team this past year will be the captain of the team for the 2021 Competition. Heather serves as an Advisory Board Member for DU’s International Law Society and the Business Editor for the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. In addition, she has studied in The Hague as a Ved Nanda Center for International and Comparative Fellow and currently has an externship with Sustainable Development Strategies Group which provides sustainable solutions in the management of natural resources including supporting local communities and ecological impacts. Between graduating with a BA in South Asian Religions from Smith College in Massachusetts and starting law school, she worked with non-profits ranging from fighting human trafficking in India, to supporting the runaway and homeless in Boulder, to fighting to eradicate poverty with women in Uganda. Heather's hope is to work in international law fighting for human rights.
